The location is excellent in the center of town with lots of shops, cafes and restaurants right outside the door. The hosts are very friendly and welcoming. The rooms are extremely clean and comfortable with everything you need for your stay. The breakfast was nice around around a community table. On my second day in Tunisia, I was struck by a particularly nasty case of food poisoning from a restaurant on the island. The Ladies working at the hotel immediately took notice of my poor condition during my return and without question brought me everything I needed and provided advice to help me recover. She even went as far as finding another English-speaking guest, who was also a pharmacist to provide advice. Despite the language barrier, these Ladies went above and beyond. You all have my sincere thanks! Therefore I highly recommend you stay at Dar Lola if visiting Djerba, you'll be well looked after no matter the circumstances! ☹ Perfect Hotel & StaffCharger plus
vérifié Perfect spot! My friend and I stayed one night. Excellent location for exploring the market and a 20 minute walk to the marina. We had such a warm welcome from Shallah when we arrived and she was very patient with our limited French. The rooms are clean, cosy and beautiful. Showers were hot and powerful! There is a lounge with board games and books. Breakfast was fresh and included crepes, chopped fruit and yoghurt. Please note much like many places in Tunisia it was cash only but there are ATMs a short walk away. We would highly recommend staying here if you are visiting Houmt Souk.Publié survérifié Oozing warmth and hospitality We had such a wonderful stay here. The team (including Sushi the cat) are so welcoming and kind. It is also the warmest hotel we have stayed in with central heating in the rooms and exceptionally comfortable beds. Breakfast was superb (including fresh fruit) and we organised a great half day tour via the hotel. Samia the host was amazing and super kind, arranged a day tour for me my first day since I arrived late and had some food I could eat in the morning. I speak German and English of which she spoke neither but it worked out. The breakfast is also more than satisfactory and rooftop is nice too. Celle-ci est très bien située en plein cœur de la médina. Shallah est très à l’écoute et nous a organisé une superbe excursion dans le Sud de la Tunisie grâce à ses contacts. L’accueil, la disponibilité et la gentillesse de toute l’équipe est à souligner. Les chambres sont spacieuses, le petit déjeuner était top ! Et Très belle accueil, un personnel jovial, chaleureux, J'ai adoré. Belles chambres, chacunes a sa couleur. On a eu la chambre jaune, il y a une chambre rose, bleue, et d autres chambres encore. Maison très charmante. J'ajoute qu'on aussi été accueillis par le chef de maison, Sushi, un chat qui nous a bien tenu compagnie 😊

My brother and I stayed at the Dar Lola twice during our tour of Tunisia, and it was absolutely wonderful. The room had lovely wash fascilities, a filling breakfast was provided each day, and the building and location in the middle of Houmt Souk was otherworldy. But most of all, I want to highlight the staff that work there. Each staff member was so lovely and friendly, despite the language barrier. I especially want to thank Samia for her help, as we had a medical emergency and she went above and beyond to help us. I stayed here for 3 nights in December. The owners were very kind to us, even though they didn't speak much English, we were able to communicate using a translation app. There's a cute cat named Suzy. Room: At first, the hot water and air conditioner in our room wasn't working, but the owner changed our room in following day. And after that it was very nice stay. Location: It's centrally located in Houmt Souq, making it easy to get around. Nice view from the rooftop. But beware of the restaurant next door; I ordered chicken and it was undercooked. The rooms are basic, but comfortable and clean. A great value for the price. The rooftop terrace is great for viewing sunrise and sunset. Shula, the hostess is very sweet and more than accommodating; she goes above and beyond. The breakfast was plentiful!
